A Family Business in Denmark, Maine
We are not a franchise and we are not a call center. We are a small crew out of Denmark that has been spraying foam in this part of Maine since 2006, after two decades of drywall before that.
One climate, start to finish
Paul came up through drywall in the 1980s, and kept running into the same thing: the rock performed differently on one wall than another with nothing done differently. Nail pops, cracks, frost showing through the middle of a sheet in February. That is an insulation problem wearing a drywall problem's clothes, and in 2006 he went and learned to fix it properly.
Staying in one corner of Maine that long means we have seen what holds up here and what does not. We have pulled enough flattened, damp forty-year-old fiberglass out of enough attics to have strong opinions about it.
It also means most of our work comes from people who used us before, or from their neighbor. That is a good way to run a business and a slow way to fill a website, which is roughly why you are reading this page.
Insulation and the finish work, one crew
Maine-ly Foam and Kiesman Drywall Inc. are the same outfit. Both names are on the trailer, both run off the same phone number.
In practice that means when we spray a house we can also hang the rock, tape it and skim coat it, without you lining up a second contractor and hoping the dates work out. Most insulation contractors stop at the foam. More on the finish work.
What we run
- Closed-cell and open-cell spray foam
- Injection foam, dense pack and blown-in cellulose for finished houses
- Drywall hanging, taping and skim coat plastering
Where we work
Denmark sits about ten minutes from the New Hampshire line, which is why we have always worked both sides of it. Ten towns in Maine, ten in New Hampshire, and we will travel further for the right job.
